Does my store actually need this?
It depends on what you sell and where you sell it. Rules for alcohol, adult content, and other 18+ products differ by country, and several EU members now require real verification instead of a self-declared birthday. If you are unsure, write to us with your store and country and we will tell you honestly, including if the answer is that you do not need us.
What do my customers actually do?
At the moment you choose, the customer completes a quick age check run by a certified EU verification provider, using the methods that provider offers. It takes seconds and happens without leaving your store's flow.
Do I have to store ID documents?
No. Documents go to the certified provider, not to you. Your store receives the result of the check, and that is all it needs for compliance.
Which verification provider do you use?
