How it works
From plugin install to verified customer
Verifid has two sides. Yours is a plugin and a settings page. Your customer's is a check that takes seconds. Everything in between is our job, certified EU verification providers included.
Your side
A plugin and one decision
Install the Verifid plugin in your store admin. WooCommerce first, more platforms next. Then make one decision: when should customers verify? That is the whole setup.
- At checkout, only when the cart contains an age-restricted product. The gentlest option for mixed stores.
- At account creation, so returning customers are verified once and shop freely after that.
- Before the store opens, for shops where everything on the shelf is 18+.

Your customer's side
Seconds, not a detour
The check opens where the customer already is. No new account, no app to download, no email round trip.
-
01
Order reaches the check
The customer hits the point you chose, for example paying for a cart with a bottle of wine in it.
-
02
Verification opens inline
A panel from a certified EU verification provider opens on top of your store. Your branding stays visible.
-
03
The provider runs the check
The customer verifies with the methods the provider offers. This is the certified part, not our code or yours.
-
04
The order continues
Your store gets a pass or fail and the checkout carries on. The whole stop is measured in seconds.
The layer in between
One integration, several certified providers
Verifid is not a verification provider and does not want to be. The certified EU providers are better at checking IDs than anyone should try to be in-house. What they are not good at is being easy to buy for a small store. So your store talks to one plugin, and the plugin routes each check to a certified provider.
If a provider raises prices or has an outage, that is our problem to route around, not a rebuild of your store.
Your data position
You never touch an ID
Documents and biometric data go to the certified provider and are processed in the EU. Your store receives the result and a record you can point to if a regulator asks. Concretely, per check your store stores:

- Documents stored · None
The difference
What buying age verification usually looks like
| Going direct to a provider | With Verifid | |
|---|---|---|
| Getting a price | A quote form and a sales call | On the pricing page |
| Integration | API documentation and a developer | A plugin in your store admin |
| Commitment | Annual agreement, enterprise minimums | Monthly, cancel anytime |
| Switching providers | A second integration project | Nothing changes on your side |
